Speakers introduction:
Dr. Yangmu Huang
Huang Yangmu is a researcher, doctoral supervisor, deputy directorof the Department of Global Health, School of Public Health, and adouble researcher of the Institute of Global Health Development.The research areas mainly include global health governance,pharmaceutical innovation and accessibility, nutrition and foodsafety, healthemergency response, etc., focusing on health development cooperation based on global public goods, especiallythe fair access of vulnerable groups to related products. She has presided over a number of international cooperation and generalprojects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, courses assigned by national ministries and international organizations, and published more than 100 first / corresponding author papers in Lancet and other domestic and foreign journals. Currently, she serves as Deputy Secretary General of Preventive Medicine Branch of China Medical Promotion Association and Deputy Secretary General of Beijing Association for Foreign Medical Exchange. As a member of the Expert advisory group of the Chinese delegation, she attends the World Health Assembly and the Executive Committee of the World Health Organization, and provides technical advice to relevant national ministries and commissions, the World Health Organization and other UN organizations. She was awarded the National YoungTalent Program and the "Global Young Physician Leader" by the International Academy of Medical Sciences.
Ms. Alice Ma
Alice Ma Is the senior marketing manager of the Global Vaccine Alliance (Gavi), based in Geneva, Switzerland. She has more than nine years of experience at Gavi as Senior Manager for Strategic Development and Tendering and Senior Analyst for Market Marketing. Alice With a rich vaccine market background, responsible for developing frameworks and strategies to facilitatemarket dynamics. She holds a master's degree in bioethics from New York University, and a bachelor's degree in biology, philosophy, andbioethics from the University of Virginia.
Ms. Maya Malarski
Maya Malarski is a global health policy professional who is currently working as Senior Manager in the Policy team at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, based in Geneva. She completed her Bachelors in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, followed by an MPH from Imperial College London.Her work at Gavi focuses on developing, updating and reviewing programmatic policies, including the gender policy and Gavi’s funding policies. She also led the Vaccine Investment Strategy,through which Gavi decides which vaccines to support. Maya also worked on the development and implementation of COVAX during the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular on reaching humanitarian populations with vaccines.Maya has previously worked for IQVIA as a management consultant in the pharmaceutical sector, advising clients on pricing and market access of new drugs and vaccines, and at the Center for Global Development, focusing on developing the strategy for the Global Health programme in Europe.Her areas of interest are vaccines policy and decision-making,programme delivery, market shaping and strategy.
